Vandalism forces closure of main pool at Bluewater Lagoon

The main pool at the Bluewater Lagoon is expected to remain closed for several more days after glass was discovered in the water.
Initial investigations indicate this is a result of vandalism.

To ensure the safety of all patrons, specialist vacuum equipment and will be brought in to manually clean the pool.

While time-consuming, the process allows operators to methodically work across every surface and strategically focus on areas where glass may accumulate.

Although the main pool is closed, other parts of the venue – the upper lagoon, children’s pool and splashpad remain open.
Council apologises for the inconvenience and appreciates the community’s patience and understanding.
