Council understands how important your special day is. Booking a park helps ensure exclusive use of your selected location, so your ceremony is not disrupted by other events or activities.

Below is a list of our most popular wedding ceremony locations, including booking information.

Please note that wedding receptions are not permitted in Council parks and reserves.

Fees and charges

All wedding ceremonies held in Mackay Regional Council parks incur a booking fee. This fee covers use of the space as well as general maintenance of the park.

Any additional costs such as the hire of chairs, decorations, or associated set-up and pack-down, are the responsibility of the booking holder.

As Council parks are public spaces, please be mindful of other visitors and the shared use of these areas.

Wedding photography in parks

Wedding photography in Mackay Regional Council parks is permitted free of charge.

To avoid potential conflicts with other bookings, we recommend contacting Council in advance to check availability for your preferred date and location.

Standard booking conditions

Please do:

• Leave the area clean and free of litter
• Keep noise to a reasonable level to avoid disturbing others
• Start and finish your ceremony within your allocated booking time

Please do not:

• Use or throw confetti, rice, rose petals, balloons, streamers, or similar materials
• Use glass containers for beverages
• Drive vehicles into park areas without prior approval from Council
