Yuwi Cultural experience

Queens Park offers opportunities to learn about Mackay’s Traditional Owners, the Yuwi people. Cultural signs are placed throughout the park and share stories about their people, land, and animals.

Visitors can also spend time at the yarning circle. This is a place to sit quietly, reflect, and connect with the spirit of the land.

Ken Burgess Orchid House

The Ken Burgess Orchid House is home to more than 600 orchid varieties. It features both Australian native and exotic orchids. The display changes through the year, so there is always something new to see.
