Renewable Energy: Community Benefit System
The Renewable Energy Community Benefit System Policy outlines Mackay Regional Council's expectations for community benefits associated with large-scale renewable energy developments, including wind farms, solar farms and battery storage facilities that are subject to Queensland's Social Impact Assessment and Community Benefit Agreement requirements.
The policy was recently adopted at council's ordinary meeting in July, 2026.
