Located with picturesque views of the Pioneer River and within walking distance of the Mackay City Centre. It includes a shaded, softfall playground that caters for ages 6 to 12. There is also exercise equipment, barbecues, shelter and picnic tables.
The Bluewater Quay provides an accessible and attractive lifestyle facility for residents and tourists to enjoy. It extends almost 250 metres and was built around the historic Leichardt Tree (part of the Nauclea orientalis), a common meeting point for new migrants to Mackay that arrived at the old Port district along River Street.
