Share your experience with council

Had a great experience with council's Customer Experience team, or have some suggestions on how council can do better?
Mackay region residents and customers are being encouraged to share their experiences of interacting with Mackay Regional Council.
Council wants to know how residents prefer to engage with council – whether it’s over the phone, face-to-face, or maybe you’d prefer an email. Whatever your thoughts, council would love to hear them.
Having your say as part of this survey will help identify where council can improve and get a better understanding of customer sentiment and expectations around service.
Council recently released their draft Customer Experience Strategy 2025-2028, which sets out key focus areas and initiatives for the next three years to help council improve customer experience.
The strategy aims to significantly improve the experience of residents, businesses and visitors is to ensure every interaction is seamless, positive and centres on the needs and values of people in the Mackay region.
The goal is to ensure doing business with council is easy whether that’s choosing how to pay your rates, complete customer requests, work with departments on matters such as water, planning, waste and much more.
To achieve this goal more quickly, council wants to hear from you.
The online survey is open until midnight on Friday, September 26. Visit www.connectingmackay.com.au to share your thoughts.
