Platypus Beach Recreational Area

Platypus Beach is a popular swimming hole for locals and tourists. It offers a little slice of sandy paradise on the bank of the Pioneer River, near Mirani. This is a beautiful location to enjoy swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and picnics. The water quality at the area is regularly monitored by council and can be viewed at www.mackay.qld.gov.au/platypusbeach
