Planning scheme policy administrative amendment 1

On 11 December 2019 Council resolved to adopt Planning scheme policy administrative amendment 1. This amendment commenced as version 1.0 of the Planning scheme polices for the Mackay Region Planning Scheme 2017 on 3 February 2020.

As of 3 February 2020, the planning scheme policies will no longer be located within the planning scheme PDF. They will be located separately on Councils website. A link will be provided on the planning scheme page. www.mackay.qld.gov.au/planningscheme

The purpose and general effect of the planning scheme policy administrative amendment 1 is to:

  • support an administrative amendment to the planning scheme which will separate the PSPs from the planning scheme document;
  • re-format, without changing policy positions, the content of each PSP into a new template document to achieve standard formatting; and
  • insert standard explanatory text and re-format the preliminary headings to achieve consistency.
