Got an international flavour to share? There’s still time to be part of Mackay’s premier multicultural celebration, Global Grooves.
Mackay Regional Council has extended its call for expressions of interest from international food vendors, restaurants and caterers keen to serve up authentic cuisine at the event.
The Festivals team is also seeking groups and individuals to host hands-on cultural workshops. From drumming and dancing to weaving, painting and other creative experiences, organisers are encouraging a diverse range of multicultural activities.
Those with traditional cultural dress are also invited to join a colourful parade, showcasing cultures from around the world.
Council’s Festivals team can assist vendors and workshop hosts through the application process and help bring their ideas to life.
