Work has started to upgrade the popular Camilleri Street District Park.
These works, based on community feedback, include a formalised entry off Camilleri Street, a new concrete perimeter pathway to connect the new entry point to the Youth Hub and playground, as well as additional trees and seating.
Some areas will be cordoned off for the duration of the works, however the playground, barbeque area, toilets, dog park and youth hub will remain accessible via Camilleri Street.
Contractor, Vassallo Constructions, will carry out the works between 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and between 7am to 5pm on Saturdays, as required. There will be some noise and dust disturbance associated with these works, but management plans will be in place.
It’s expected the works will be completed by late October, weather permitting.
