The Kemmis Park Skatepark will close from today (July 14) to allow for repairs to the shade structure.
The works will ensure the long-term usability of the facility and continue to provide a safe and enjoyable facility for the community.
The skatepark will be closed for the duration of the works, which are expected to take one month. However, the footpath around the perimeter of the park will remain open.
Completion is expected by mid-August, weather permitting.
Contractor, WFH, will undertake the works between 6.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays from 7am to 5pm, as required.
There may be some noise associated with these works. However, appropriate controls will be implemented to minimise any impact to residents.
Council appreciates the community’s patience while these essential works are completed.
