With Spring in full swing, now is the perfect time to take advantage of council’s native plant giveaway!
The Mackay Natural Environment Centre (MNEC) will be throwing open their doors for residents to collect FREE native plants, chat to garden experts and find out about natural environment initiatives.
Residents just need to bring along a rates notice to claim up to 4 free plants. If you’d like additional plants, they are available for purchase for just $3 each.
Staff and volunteers at the MNEC work through the year to collect seeds, plant and care for saplings and make them available for the community.
