Due to the wet weather around the region as a result of Tropical Cyclone Kirrily, a number of our council supported Aussie Day events have had to be cancelled or postponed.
There are still four community events planning to go ahead though, at this stage. More details at www.mackay.qld.gov.au/ausdayevents. Please visit the event organiser's Facebook pages for the latest updates in case there are any last minute changes.

Council facilities closures:
Sarina Sugar Shed - closed today and tomorrow (Thursday and Friday). Visit their Facebook page for updates regarding reopening on the weekend. Mackay Regional Council Libraries - will close today at 4pm. Mirani Library is closed. Bluewater Lagoon Mackay - closed today. Visit their Facebook page for updates.
