Nestled within the cool oasis of majestic trees and tropical gardens in historic Queens Park, the Ken Burgess Orchid House showcases a stunning and diverse collection of orchids.

Take a leisurely stroll through more than 600 varieties of exquisite orchids, with seasonal displays ensuring there is always something new and exciting to discover. The collection features both exotic and Australian native species, including ground, tree and rock living orchids, many of which are as beautiful as they are intriguing.

Supported by the Mackay and District Orchid Society, the Orchid House offers a unique opportunity to experience these remarkable plants up close in a tranquil garden setting.

For easy access, park at the Shakespeare Street car park, followed by a short walk along all-access pathways to the Orchid House.
