The popular Bluewater Lagoon will close for about a month from mid-July to allow for annual maintenance and repair works.
The facility will close on Monday, July 13 and is expected to reopen on August 13.
This time frame may be extended due to weather or other unplanned factors. Any delays will be communicated to the community.

The works are essential to ensure the facility remains safe and operational and continues to provide a high recreational experience. Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
Alternative swimming opportunities are available at the Mackay Aquatic Recreation Centre and the Memorial Pool.
