The Seaforth Esplanade Splash Pad will be temporarily closed to the public from Monday, August 24 to Friday, September 18, 2026, while essential maintenance works are undertaken.
The works will include the resealing of the splash pad surface and expansion joints, replacing access pit lids, rust treating the shade structure and removing debris from around the water tanks.
New family-orientated stencil artworks will also be installed.
These maintenance activities are necessary to help extend the life of the facility and ensure it remains safe and enjoyable for the community for many years to come.
During the works, the surrounding picnic tables, amenity blocks and playground equipment will remain accessible to visitors.
