Local Government Infrastructure Plan Amendment 3 Public Consultation
Mackay Regional Council has prepared Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) amendment 3 and is undertaking public consultation from September 2, 2026 to September 30, 2026.
This LGIP amendment is being made after a five-year review of the LGIP indicated that an LGIP amendment was required to update certain aspects of the LGIP.
The purpose and general effect of this LGIP amendment is to:
- Update growth figures to reflect Mackay Growth Allocation Model (MGAM 2020) data;
- Update the schedule of works to align with the latest capital plan;
- Make minor adjustments to the desired standards of service;
- Updated catchment demand; and
- Update LGIP mapping to reflect the schedule of works.
Note that:
- There is no change to the priority infrastructure area (PIA) proposed;
- The review confirmed financial compliance and alignment between the proposed schedule of works and Council’s long term financial forecasts and the asset management plan.
- This LGIP amendment applies to the whole Mackay LGA.
