Council is pleased to release its standard conditions package for the Mackay development industry. The standard conditions package aims to provide a consistent and consolidated suite of development conditions for specific land use classes, reconfiguring a lot, operational works, overlays, referral agency responses, minor works, signs and advisory notes. The standardising of development conditions will ensure greater consistency of development obligations, assist in reducing assessment times and provides greater certainty for applicants (coupled with the use of pre-lodgement meetings).
It is recommended that applicants review this document prior to lodgement. As part of the development application processes, applicants can request draft conditions prior to a decision being reached.
These conditions will be subject to continual amendment to reflect changes to the Planning Scheme or further suggestions made by the development industry to ensure they remain current.
