Traffic changes to George and Milton streets intersection

George Street will be temporarily closed to through traffic at Milton Street from Monday (August 23).
The traffic changes will be in place for about four weeks while road upgrade works are undertaken in the area.
Contractor Seaforth Civil is completing the work on behalf of council to improve road safety and connectivity.
This upgrade project includes the:
- construction of a cul-de-sac on Evan Street
- linking George Street to Evan Street
- linking English Street to George Street
- upgrading footpaths, pavements and kerb and channel
- water main works.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused to motorists during this time and appreciates their patience and understanding.
