Local Resilience Plans

Localised resilience planning has emerged as a vital link to disaster management risk reduction, identified by contemporary resilience studies. Approaches to longer term risk reduction, and reinforcing the principles of the Queensland Strategy for Disaster Resilience at the local level, are an opportunity to further build community resilience.

Local Resilience Plans are an identified resilience improvement action stemming from the Greater Whitsunday Regional Resilience Strategy 2022, prepared by the Queensland Reconstruction Authority. Local Resilience Plans will complete the line of sight from national, state, regional and local risk reduction actions.
