Council’s community halls are open to the public with the following COVID-19 restrictions, which are in line with the current Queensland State Government COVID-19 directive. Hall users are advised to practise social distancing by keeping 1.5 metres away from others inside the community hall.
> Maximum number of customers for a business at any one time is determined by the 4 square metre rule.
> For smaller venues below 200 square metres, businesses can have one person per 2 square metres up to 50 persons at a time.
Hall users are advised to continue to practise social distancing by keeping 1.5 metres away from others inside the community hall and continue to practice good hygiene and cleanliness.
Council's community halls can be used for a variety of purposes such as sport and craft classes, meetings and parties.
There are many council community halls and spaces throughout the region available for hire and fees apply according to use.
