eNotices
eNotices is the new electronic delivery of notices including rates, water, animal registration renewal, trade waste and backflow licencing. eNotices make it easier and more convenient for you to manage your payments, save paper and reduce waste. Your notices will be accessible on any electronic device (phone, tablet, laptop or desktop) so you can view them anytime, anywhere, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If you have recently purchased a property, registered an animal or have been approved for trade waste or backflow licencing in the Mackay region and would like to register to receive your notice via email, you will need a copy of your first notice so you can sign up for eNotices. Alternatively, call council on 1300 MACKAY (622 529) for assistance.
To update your email address for electronic notices, please sign in to your eNotices account and update your details.
FAQs
Registration and account management
When attempting to register an eNotices profile, the following error appears: “Error! The eNotices reference number is invalid”. Why is this?
Please ensure you have not made a typo when entering the reference number found at the bottom right corner of the first page of your latest paper notice. It must be the most recent notice you have received; older notices will have outdated reference numbers.
What is the eNotice ‘reference number’ and why does it change for each notice?
Why haven’t I received an email to activate my account or to see my notice?
Please double check the email address you entered was correct. If so, please ensure your spam filter hasn’t diverted the emailed notice to the spam folder.
Another issue might be that some email providers have difficulties recognising eNotice emails from noreply@enotices.com.au. The following addresses are well known to show errors:
@mail.com - @email.com - @edumail.com - @post.com
If you are still having issues, you can register with an alternate email address. Try adding noreply@enotices.com.au to your trusted contacts list.
Why is the ‘mobile phone number’ a required field?
What notices will be in my eNotices account?
You can add rates, water, animal, trade waste and backflow notices onto your account. Some of these are added automatically after registering, but others may require you to add them manually.
To manually add a notice to your account, go to the profile tab in the top right of the dashboard. Under the ‘accounts’ tab you can add the eNotices reference number in the ‘input eNotices reference number’ section.
If you experience difficulties with this, please email council@mackay.qld.gov.au or call 1300 622 589.
How many additional email addresses can be added to an eNotices user profile?
How do I update my main email address?
From your dashboard, click ‘update contact details’. On the next page you can change the ‘email address’ field to your new email, then click ‘save’.
Updating your email through eNotices does not update your email with Mackay Regional Council, nor does updating your email through council update in your email in eNotices.
How can I change my password?
If you have forgotten your password, you can click the ‘forgot your password’ link at the log in screen. Follow the prompts to receive an email with a password reset link.
If you are already logged in, go to ‘update contact details’ and click the ‘change password’ button. Follow the prompts to update your password.
How do I recover my account if I change my email and password?
Using eNotices
Why was a notice issued on paper when it is registered for eNotices?
If you have changed name, this can cause the system to revert to paper notices. You can log in to your account and check under your ‘accounts’ section to ensure your notices are set from ‘post’ to ‘email’.
Why can’t I see all the notices/accounts?
In your account, under the ‘notices’ section you check if you have applied a search filter in the ‘advanced search options’ tab. If there are any filters present, it will restrict what notices you can see. You can click the ‘reset’ button and then click ‘apply’ to clear all filters.
It may also have been caused by a recent name change. If so, you can re-add your accounts back with the reference number on your most recent paper notice.
What happens if I reply to an email sent from noreply@enotices.com.au?
Why can’t I open/view my notice?
Can I register to receive notices for multiple properties and other notices issued by council?
If you have multiple properties with Mackay Regional Council under identical names and postal addresses, then these properties will be automatically grouped and added to your account. If you have additional properties with Mackay Regional Council under different names or postal addresses, then you can add these notices to your account in the ‘accounts’ tab in the profile section of the dashboard.
If you have registered multiple properties with different names and postal addresses, then you will receive one email for each property – one property, one email, one attachment.
To add other notices to your account, ie animal registration renewal, you will need the unique reference from the last issued notice.
What do I do if my property is being managed by a real estate agent/property manager?
You can add the email address of the real estate agent/property manager by going to the ‘emails’ tab under ‘update contact details’, then enter it as an additional email. This will email you and your agent/manager.
Please note: The agent/manager will receive all notices registered with your account, including any properties that aren’t being managed by them. If you have multiple properties, and not all are being managed, you may need to forward emailed notices to your agent/manager instead of adding them to the eNotices system.
How do I revert back to paper notices?
The option to revert to post is currently not available in eNotice portal.
Customer will need to provide request to revert to post via email.
This will be actioned by Rates Team.
