Celeber Drive safety improvements to continue

Published: 16 Aug 2023

Council has advised that ongoing Celeber Drive works, including line marking and the installation of median islands, will continue from this Sunday (August 20).

The reconfiguration of line marking will permanently remove on-street parking in the area.

Works will mostly be completed as nightworks to limit traffic disruptions in the area and are expected to take up to four nights, weather permitting.

Line removal works will be undertaken this Sunday, August 20, from 2.30pm to 10pm.

Noise associated with line removals is expected, with various plant and equipment on site; however, line removals will not extend beyond 10pm to help reduce the impacts on local residents.

Following line removal works, line marking and the installation of median islands will be completed from next Monday (August 21) to Wednesday (August 23).

Working hours will be 6pm to 6am and some noise is expected to be associated with the works.

These works follow on from previous safety works, which included the replacement of streetlights and construction of a footpath.

During the works, traffic control will be in place. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to please follow all signage in the area to ensure their safety.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates residents’ patience during these essential works.
