Goldsmith Street closed for water main upgrades

The final stage of works on the East Gordon Street water main upgrade project will soon be completed.
The works include the installation of a new water main at Goldsmith Street, which will improve the reliability of the service to the City Centre, South and East Mackay areas.
Works will start on December 14 and are expected to finish during the week starting Monday, December 18, weather permitting.
On Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17, a full road closure is scheduled on Goldsmith Street, between East Gordon and Park streets.
The Queens Park entrance on Goldsmith Street will only be accessible from the south.
Detours will be in place and motorists are asked to follow all site signage.
Outside of the road closure, there will be minimal traffic disruptions. Some parking along Goldsmith Street will be unavailable during the works.
All works will be undertaken from 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 5pm on Sunday.
